Tudor Submariner Ref. 7928 - Tropical Mocha

Sale price$0.00 USD

Straight Facts

The Submariner, namely those produced by Rolex, has long been considered the cream of the crop when it comes to watch collecting as a whole. Possibly the most iconic watch ever produced, the Submariner has long standing utilitarian roots that span decades, and everyone who’s anyone has been spotted wearing one. However, if you look deeper into the Submariner line, you may find a less known but just as incredible model manufactured by Tudor. These pieces are not only more unique and rare than the traditional Submariner, but offer much greater value.

This particular example - is one of the very best. The case is completely unpolished with large and sharp chamfers which is truly incredible on its own. The real star here is the dial and the bezel. The gilt ‘smily face’ dial has aged to an astounding tropical brown color throughout. Perfectly even with no variation - and the vibrant lume plots have become puffy and cream-colored the way we love. The patina continues on to the richly faded and brown Long 5 bezel - downright stunning. Topping it all off is a C&I Stretch Riveted Oyster Bracelet, which is a real novelty to play with. Tudor Submariners like this highlight why so many collectors gravitate towards the brand - as a comparable 1962 Rolex Submariner would be 5x the price, and not really 5x the watch!

*Some marks or spots on the dial are reflections or dust on the crystal and are due to high intensity strobe lighting used while photographing. They are not actually on the watch or visible in natural lighting.
