Tudor Submariner Date Ref. 75190 - 36mm 'Midsize' w/ Caseback Sticker & Papers

Sold

Rolex's Submariner has long sat at the top of the collecting world, a utilitarian icon worn by just about everyone who matters. Look a little deeper into the Submariner story, though, and you'll find Tudor's versions: rarer, more distinctive and far better value.

The References 76100 and 79090 replaced the classic Tudor 'Snowflake' Subs and are seen by many as the last great vintage Tudor Submariners. Their successor, the Ref. 79190, is a superb neo-vintage choice, the first Tudor Sub with a sapphire crystal, while briefly keeping a matte black tritium dial. Alongside it, Tudor launched a 36mm 'midsize' Oyster version, the Ref. 75190 offered here.

Dating to circa 1996, it's in strong overall condition. The 36mm case appears unpolished, with thick, symmetrical lugs and honest wear throughout, and it still carries its factory caseback sticker with logo and reference clearly legible. The matte black dial looks flawless, with softly patinated tritium plots and matching tritium hands. The unidirectional bezel has a black aluminium insert in excellent condition, complete with a matching tritium pip.

It also comes with its punched papers dated 3/4/1997.

Much like Rolex Professional models of the 1980s and 1990s, Tudor Subs of this period make excellent everyday watches, blending vintage traits such as matte tritium dials, aluminium inserts and drilled lugs with a sapphire crystal and quickset date. And Rolex never made a 36mm Submariner.

From Rolex & Patek Philippe, to Cartier & Audemars Piguet. As collectors first, we love the small details that separate the Submariner from Daytona and Calatrava from Royal Oak. This is why you'll find our curated assortment spans decades of generations of models and brands. We believe that watches don't just tell time, they tell history - and life is too short to wear a boring watch.
