Record Waterproof Gilt Chronograph

SOLD

Straight Facts

Gilt Chronographs are criminally underrated, but are in fact some of the most beautiful and interesting watches ever produced. The intricate process of manufacturing these dials was so labor intensive that companies reverted to easier methods despite their inherent lack of charm. Looking back unto many vintage chronographs, this Record is one of the most compelling I have ever seen. The gilt dial is in immaculate shape, with no signs of wear and the extra puffy custard lume is exceptionally attractive. Not to mention that this piece features some of the most unique and amazing oversized pushers in recent memory. Inside is the renowned and extremely well decorated Venus 150 caliber all housed in a gorgeous waterproof case, it is truly hard to beat this piece and I couldn’t be happier to offer it in the Watch Shop!

*Some marks or spots on the dial are reflections or dust on the crystal and are due to high intensity strobe lighting used while photographing. They are not actually on the watch or visible in natural lighting.

From Rolex & Patek Philippe, to Cartier & Audemars Piguet. As collectors first, we love the small details that separate the Submariner from Daytona and Calatrava from Royal Oak. This is why you'll find our curated assortment spans decades of generations of models and brands. We believe that watches don't just tell time, they tell history - and life is too short to wear a boring watch.
