Movado M95 Chronograph - Reverse Panda

Sale price$12,250.00 USD

While it may be hard to imagine based upon their product line today, Movado Laboratories (yes, that was the full name) once made watches that were the envy of the greatest brands - and for very good reason.

The present watch is known as a Movado M95 Chronograph, after the Movado Manufacture M95 movement inside of it - and while they were made in a variety of dial configurations, this reverse panda is one of the most desirable to be produced. The M95 features an incredible waterproof case made by Francios Borgel (the same case-maker who manufactured the Patek 1463 “Tasti-Tondi) as well as exciting dials - in addition to that revolutionary M95 calibre that was made by Movado themselves.

Its dial is in incredible condition retaining all of its cream colored lume plots. The reverse pandas, with black gloss dial set against the silver sub registers makes a visually dramatic impact, and the case is an extremely well preserved example. The dial retains a very glossy character, with only slight wear near the 7 o'clock position. Furthermore, this M95 is still fitted to its period Movado branded bracelet making the package that much more enticing. Any nice M95’s have become extremely coveted pieces of art and therefore almost never come to the public market, especially considering how rare they are compared to many other Mid-Century Chronographs - so do not miss this opportunity to put an M95 on your wrist.

*Some marks or spots on the dial are reflections or dust on the crystal and are due to high intensity strobe lighting used while photographing. They are not actually on the watch or visible in natural lighting.

From Rolex & Patek Philippe, to Cartier & Audemars Piguet. As collectors first, we love the small details that separate the Submariner from Daytona and Calatrava from Royal Oak. This is why you'll find our curated assortment spans decades of generations of models and brands. We believe that watches don't just tell time, they tell history - and life is too short to wear a boring watch.
