Rolex Day-Date Ref. 18239 - Diamond Dial with Papers

SOLD

Straight Facts

There is something to be said about flagship watches - and in the world of Rolex there is no more prestigious watch than the Day-Date, or President. Worn by heads of state, CEOs, celebrities, and anyone who’s ‘made-it’ - the Day-Date has only ever been made in precious metals, and white gold is not only one of the stealthier ways to do a solid-gold Rolex, but its also one of the rarest. While the case is identical to any 36mm Day-Date the white gold adds an understated stealth-wealth level to this piece. The watch has an ‘if you know, you know’ element to it, and upon closer look of the dial you will also notice the factory diamond indices.

The stunning diamonds that Rolex chooses to use for its watches are of the highest quality and are matched here by a perfectly aged luminous handset. Together with the completed and present lume plots, the luminescent material has aged to a highly desirable ‘cream’ color - which plays beautifully against the crisp silver sunburst. Rather than the earlier 1803 models, this present example is a ‘single-quick’ which adds a level of convenience to the piece that the older vintages cannot compare with.

The case is nearly perfect and the signature Rolex President bracelet (in matching 18K white gold, of course) exhibits minimal signs of stretch throughout. While the watch is incredibly lovely itself, it is also complimented by its punched Rolex papers which always make for a nice addition to any period Rolex. For those who want the best, there can only be one choice - The Rolex Day-Date.

From Rolex & Patek Philippe, to Cartier & Audemars Piguet. As collectors first, we love the small details that separate the Submariner from Daytona and Calatrava from Royal Oak. This is why you'll find our curated assortment spans decades of generations of models and brands. We believe that watches don't just tell time, they tell history - and life is too short to wear a boring watch.
