Have a great day!
The Day-Date was available for many years on a leather strap with a matching gold buckle, but also on a solid gold bracelet (called a 'President' bracelet), like the example that we have here.
This particular piece, a Reference 18238, is very much your prototypical Day-Date, featuring a sunburst gold 'champagne' dial within a yellow gold case, but with one minor detail that renders this piece properly rare: a 'C' serial number. Dating to circa 1992, this watch hails from a time when Rolex was producing very few watches. The overall condition is outstanding, featuring an unpolished case, bezel, and matching 'President'bracelet — all showing uniform normal wear from age with a few very minor blemishes. An attractive light 'rosy' oxidation is developing in some areas. The dial within is seemingly flawless, with fully-intact Tritium plots and a perfectly matching handset. Furthermore, the 'double-quickset' day and date setting function is always a welcomed plus!
This piece then, despite is full yellow gold construction and instantly recognizable design, epitomizes an if you know, you know sleeper.
And there is something to be said about your tone-on-tone Day-Date. It is truly an icon.

This is why you'll find our curated assortment spans decades of generations of models and brands.
