Rolex Day-Date Ref. 1803 - White Gold 'Wideboy'

SOLD

Straight Facts

There is something to be said about flagship watches - and in the world of Rolex there is no more prestigious watch than the Day-Date, or President. Worn by heads of state, CEOs, celebrities, and anyone who’s ‘made-it’ - the Day-Date has only ever been made in precious metals, and white gold is not only one of the stealthier ways to do a solid-gold Rolex, but its also one of the rarest. While the case is identical to any 36mm Day-Date the white gold adds an understated stealth-wealth level to this piece. The watch has an ‘if you know, you know’ element to it, and upon closer look of the dial you will also notice that this incredible case houses a ‘wideboy’ dial.

Called the ‘Wideboy’ for the two enamel black stripes that sit on either side of the applied indices - thus creating a more visually dramatic and large hour marker. Matched by the appropriate ‘wideboy’ handset, the black enamel makes a very stunning ‘pop’ against the silver pie-pan dial. Together with all lume plots in-tact, you have a very attractive and desirable example - of an already rare white gold 1803 Day-Date. The unpolished case is nearly perfect and the signature Rolex President bracelet (in matching 18K White Gold, of course) exhibits the most minimal signs of stretch, and is the more desirable hidden-clasp version. For those who want the best, there can only be one choice - The Rolex Day-Date.

*Some marks or spots on the dial are reflections or dust on the crystal and are due to high intensity strobe lighting used while photographing. They are not actually on the watch or visible in natural lighting.
