Movado Super Sub Sea Chronograph - Boxes & Papers

Sale price$0.00 USD

Straight Facts

While it may be hard to imagine based upon their product line today, Movado Laboratories (yes, that was the full name) once made watches that were the envy of the greatest brands - and for very good reason.

While we have spoken about the M95 Chronograph before, this is no ordinary M95. In fact, it is M95 based Super Sub Sea Chronograph. In contrast to its Borgel cased sibling, this SSS (let’s go with that, shall we?) is cased up in a much larger 40mm stainless steel, yet it still retains many of the characteristics that make the more common M95 incredible. It features an incredible brushed gilt reverse panda dial that show some signs of wear in the sub registers, along with creamy lume throughout the dial. Finished off with iconic shovel handset that is proprietary to this model - and you have a very under the radar and special watch.

The present example also has its original bracelet. How do we know its original? Well, we purchased this directly from the original owner who verified this piece’s history with us! He even kept all of its original boxes and papers making what was already a grail Movado into a true once in a lifetime watch. These pieces almost never come up for public sale, and we are pleased to bring it to market to its future second owner!

*Some marks or spots on the dial are reflections or dust on the crystal and are due to high intensity strobe lighting used while photographing. They are not actually on the watch or visible in natural lighting.

From Rolex & Patek Philippe, to Cartier & Audemars Piguet. As collectors first, we love the small details that separate the Submariner from Daytona and Calatrava from Royal Oak. This is why you'll find our curated assortment spans decades of generations of models and brands. We believe that watches don't just tell time, they tell history - and life is too short to wear a boring watch.
