All of that changed when President Dwight D. Eisenhower was spotted wearing one Rolex in particular: a Day-Date. The model has since become known worldwide as ‘The President’ and as a symbol of success and prestige. Unique to this reference, this piece stands out amongst your typical Day-Dates from the era with what Rolex might call 'special finishing' — in this case, 'bark' finishing. The bezel and links on the 'brick'-style bracelet feature a hand-finished pattern that that was found on special Day-Dates in the 1960s into the 1980s.

It remains in excellent overall condition, with a thick Oyster case — seemingly devoid of any previous polishing.
