Over the course of its nearly 100-years of production, there have been seemingly countless iterations within the line, with variations in the metal they are made in, with their size, dial configurations, and eventually, complications.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"\"\u003eThe Calatrava that we have here is a lesser-known Reference 5026J from the 1990s. The 33mm case is constructed out of solid yellow gold and houses a black dial inside — a surprisingly elusive combination in the world of watches. In traditional Calatrava fashion, the case is wonderfully executed simplicity, with nicely proportions lugs that gently slope downward, a polished bezel in matching yellow gold, and beautiful brushed profiles. Flip it over, and Patek's Cal. 240\/151 automatic-winding movement with a micro-rotor is visible via the sapphire caseback. The black dial is elevated with beautiful applied yellow gold 'Breguet' indices, with the exception of the 4 o'clock position which is substituted with the slightly quirky, offset running seconds register.
