Omega Speedmaster Ref. 105.003-65 Ed White Full Set
Straight Facts
The Omega Speedmaster is one of the most historically important watches ever produced and the reference 105.003, nicknamed the “Ed White,” produced from 1964-1969 is without a doubt one of the most instantly recognizable and influential models of the 20th century. Its namesake was a great man, who is better known for his endeavors into space with NASA and its Gemini IV project. In addition to being a highly qualified astronaut, Ed White was the first human being to ever perform a spacewalk (coincidently while wearing this same model!) In fact, Ed made history the same year this example was produced. The reference 105.003 is known for its distinct baton hands, straight lug case, and beautiful stepped dial. This example is one of the best I have ever seen. Its matte step dial, is mint and gorgeous with wonderful lume and matching hands. The Dot over 90 bezel has aged to a gorgeous grey blue hue and its case remains unpolished. Not to mention it comes with its original bracelet, box, papers and extract from the archives confirming its production and subsequent delivery. This is truly a grail level speedmaster and I coudln’t be happier to offer it in the Watch Shop!
*Some marks or spots on the dial are reflections or dust on the crystal and are due to high intensity strobe lighting used while photographing. They are not actually on the watch or visible in natural lighting.
